He created the painting “Impression Sunrise”, his first-ever exhibited painting at the height of the impressionistic epoch in 1874. He then continued to develop his painting skills and his style.

The way he has painted the series of water lilies depicts his passion and love for waterscapes and plants. He embarked on a series of water lilies during the final decades of his life.
He would paint the lily ponds in his gardens at Giverny, France. Monet named his paintings ‘Grandes Decorations’ – enveloping the viewer in an infinite experience of water, sky, and flora.
